Hatchling Legends | HTML5 Game is a complete, polished HTML5 match-3 puzzle game with dragon eggs, baby dragons and a magical world map. Swap and match eggs, create power eggs, hatch little dragons and unleash Dragon Breath across 80 hand-made levels in 10 regions. It plays in any modern browser on desktop and mobile, in landscape and portrait, and is ready to publish on your website, on game portals or inside a mobile app wrapper.
The game is written in pure JavaScript and HTML5 Canvas: no frameworks, no libraries and no build step. All graphics are PNG/JPG image files and all sounds are MP3 files, so re-skinning is as easy as replacing files. The source code is clean, fully commented and easy to read, and almost every setting lives in one commented file: config.js.
Game Modes
- Campaign: 80 levels in 10 themed regions on a scrolling world map, with stars, unlock animations and region banners
- Daily Quest: a new board every day, the same for every player, with streak rewards
- Dragon Trials: an endless ladder of generated levels that get harder as you climb
Gameplay Features
- Classic swap-and-match gameplay with mouse, touch, swipe and keyboard support
- Power eggs: Line eggs (row and column), Ember Bomb, Hatchling (a baby dragon flies to the most useful tile) and Storm egg
- 9 power combos when two power eggs are swapped together
- Chain reactions with a rising score multiplier and praise texts
- Obstacles and goals: nests, ice, spreading lava, boulders and iron boulders, color crystals, Shadow Eggs with a countdown, golden eggs to bring down, stone walls and falling passages
- Goal types: score, collect eggs of a color, clear nests, break ice, destroy lava, smash boulders, break crystals, defuse Shadow Eggs, deliver golden eggs
- Moves levels and timed levels
- Clear goal card at the start of every level (“Collect 20 Ember eggs in 12 moves”)
- Dragon Fury: leftover moves turn into blasts for bonus points
- Boosters: Dragon Breath (charged by crushing eggs), Dragon Claw, Wind shuffle and +5 Moves
- Guided tutorial on the first levels and intro cards for every new obstacle
- Hints after a few idle seconds and automatic shuffle when no move is left
